Renowned for her exquisite understanding of the Abhinaya, a clarity of line and strong rhythmic command of the idiom, in “Maya…”, Shobana communicates through a marriage of the mudras and body movements of classical Bharathanatyam. The production also includes a short collage of Bharathanatyam to world music, with pieces of music from Spain, Western Classical and A.R. Rehman’s ever popular Vande Mataram.
